VOICE OVER

To be a voice over requires good reading skills and a lot of practice at what you do.

Keeping those precious vocal cords in shape takes a lot of care and attention to detail.

Keeping your pipes lubricated while working is vital at all times.

A good choice for this, which is what I use, is cider vinegar in water with honey which keeps the voice crisp and also helps you clean your palate if you have just eaten :)

There are many good books you can buy with exercises for voicing and voice over.

Another big element is to get yourself a professional voice reel to send to casting directors etc.

As this will let them listen to you and then be able to cast you for the voice over.  If you want a example of a voice reel send me your e-mail and i'll forward my own voice over clips/reel.

There are different styles to take into account and you can choose to specialise in whichever you like.

There are many areas/things to consider when pursuing a voice over career.

I love doing voice work especially animation as it's fun, fresh and so creative.

My most recent VO was of Sam in the Game Of @Thrones parody by Stodoe Studios.

Please check it out on the video below and follow Stodoe for more:

Keep the pursuit of your passion strong and go forward, learn and earn.

All the best

Liam
