I think sometimes the stated title is forgotten about in actor technique/training.
Some (not all) actors tend to think too much about the lines and the scrip and how to emulate the character and forget about the physical actions of a part.
It is easy to do a half job by just learning the lines and sprouting them out without thought for anything else.
To really bring out the best in a role an actor needs to use what is availiable to them.
They must be able to live in the moment and have a constant link to the physicality of the character/role they are trying to portray.
At the same time they must realise that they will never be the physical character on the page (as to do this we would need A magic wand to bring the actual character to life) but be their own version with their individual body.
By this I mean using themselfs and their own limits to create something new and true to the story.
The actor must empower their own bodies to portray what they have learnt and convay this to the viewer/audience.
